  • Do you have any advice for singers with allergies. I have them pretty bad and I have a pretty good voice. I feel like the allergies hold me back. If you do have any good advice for this I would like a video :) I think it would really help a lot of people.

  • @dcrab16 I think the worst part about the allergies is feeling like you have no energy. Breathing always helps us feel more energetic. Then you feel like the space you sing through has been reduced and may be, but where you feel that narrowing, try to widen on your inhale.

I'd like to know how you feel it holds you back - be specific.

I'll do my best to make a video for you. All the best!

  • Dear Sally, I really can't sing, I have done all the studying that you've suggested, and I still sound horrible! Please help me, singing is a passion but it feels like I cant carry through with my passion as I cant sing :/

  • @morethanmemories1 Hi! First of all, I"m sure you're not horrible. Everyone has a great voice - most voices are just covered with bad habits, that's all. The videos I put up here are little helpers for people, but not really detailed voice lessons. I do teach privately - if you are not in the NYC area, then I use Skype to teach people all over the world. A less expensive way to study is on my website, SingLikeYouSpeak. com. Check that out and let me know what you think. Good luck!

  • ok i want to sing good but when i sing i think i sound horrible which makes me not want to sing in front of anyone. and when i try the singing exercises i can't make them work because i don't get it. do you have any tips for me, because i barely sing but i want to change that.

  • @lexigirl42 Study, take lessons is the best advice I can give you. Even singing stars study voice. The least expensive most effective way to study is through my website, SingLikeYouSpeak. com. Take a look!

  • @roseanajjar Of course, you want to let the emotion of the song show. The way to do that is to be perfectly open and natural so that the meaning can come through you. It sounds fake if you 'create' the emotion and push.

  • But what if you WANT to sound more musical and stylistic to create a certain emotion or affect, i.e. an opera singer, or a very passionate singer like Tori Amos?

  • @Sazian, good.

  • I cant jerk off to this...

  • @flinchoz I'm happy to help you. It's what I do best - help singers get all the 'stuff' out of the way so your natural voice can come through.

Very unusual for phlegm to get caught in your throat more than a sec. Try Vvvv-like motorcycle

The best thing for you to do is study singing with me. I can't solve all your issues in an email. The least expensive/best training is on my website. Go to singlikeyouspeak. com/join-stage-1/ and enter the code GREATDEAL to get 6-wks for only 10 dollars!

  • Hi Sally, i dont think im a good singer, but everyone tells me i am. I really want to become a good singer, so i can be more confertable to sing infront of people. I think the problem is, is that flem is always in my throat, and i always swallow it, i never spit it out and i think its clogging my throat. In some notes, yes i'm pretty good at them, but high notes, are just dreadful. Please help me!

  • @dcrab16 There are ways to help you expand that space, so if you'd like to schedule a lesson with me, let me know. It can be done!

  • @sallymmorgan It definitely makes me feel like the space I am singing through is very small, and that I cannot breath correctly. I feel that I have formed my voice to fit within the walls that these allergies keep me in. Thank you for the help.
