@SuperRebeccak Mormon teachings state that black people are people who aided Lucifer and were not granted proper skin. Lol.

@21Morgasm You see by proclaiming myself to have the absolute authority on how to live and be and worship, I had placed "the others" in a category somewhere in subpar. People who needed to be proselyted to and brought into my way of life, thinking and beliefs, even after they were dead I still tried to make them be like me. The, I'm pretty awesome and you can be too, is the mode of operation in mormonism. I prefer to live my life and say I'm pretty awesome and so are you. Less Judgemental.

@21Morgasm remember, the true and living prophet, all of their creeds are an abomination, their blessings, baptisms, marriages, sacrament were all being performed without the correct authority. As a mormon, I had the truth, the only truth, and the only right way of living. No coffee, no tea, no alcohol, no bikinis, short skirts or sphagetti strap. my standard of modesty was as the lord wanted it and god forbid I invest in some sexy underwear to wear for more than a few minutes.
-
@21Morgasm so i'm telling you that I became less judgemental and more accepting after my departure from mormonism, and you're telling me that being judgemental and rejecting other people religions, lifestyles/cultures are not mormon traits. You see I would say it myself and would say Amen when others would say, the only true church upon the face of the earth. I would try to convert people from other religions or no religion at all, telling them the mormon was the only right way, the higher law
-
to say that after you "made your decision you bevame less judgemental and more accepting of people of different backgrounds and religions" has no reflection on whatever church you were in your judgement for others goes comepletely against mormon teachings and for you to say that i have a hard time believing you were mormon at all

Ex-mormon?....that is laughable!...No body says that in the church!.....Okay I will seek your names on church's internet and see if you got baptized in that church. They won't remove your names and everything from the internet if you got baptized. Don't be alerted!! Friends of mine who are black and still going to the church. They are happy and accepted by the white people. Not only black and white....many varity colors go there!

@bammelcher Also, I DO believe that there is a difference between walking away from church and walking away from God. No matter where you go or what you may think of God, I agree with you that he is always in control. She seems very happy right now for her decision and the best we can do is be happy for her and NOT make judgements about her without actually sitting down and having a conversation with her :-D
-
@bammelcher Don't jump to such conclusions from one statement. People communicate with God in different and sometimes unconditional ways. Prayer is one of those traditional ways, but not the only way to speak to God. I know that God is real because he's "spoken" to me without me having my hands together and bowing on my knees. As for the Gospel; I feel its filled with truth, but its filled with so many more truths that we will never understand unless we know its original words.

Awesome, glad she saw the light, figuratively speaking. Now if only everyone else could do this and we could stop with all the intolerance and holy wars.
But she does not say why.... this is lame
