  • Very good video, bravo to user syrioslv!!!

    Fanis Zanas,from Pireas/Greece.

  • recomand locul pt o vacanta!!!

  • πολυ καλο

  • and it ain't as if the sign (as soon as you get off the boat) ain't AS BIG AS THEIR BLEEDING HEADS!!! it clearly states that abandoning an animal on the island is a crime and people will be persecuted.. half the people dumping them, are bloody dog-owners and all!!

  • It is nice to know you care enough to feed the strays. It is a very sad situation there, and I am told by my friend who works out there that this dumping has been going on since the end of the second world war. It is easy for people to abandon unwanted pets there because of the short ferry ride from the mainland. Some of the cats and dogs are thrown from the cars and end up with broken limbs and die in agony if they are not poisoned first.

  • @bonniegarmala indeed.. living in salamina myself has been a dissapointment for this reason only.. i love feeding the strays.. but i hate to see they r actually strays.. had enough with people alla over athens who come to the island to dump theis pets! death to pet cruelty and to those who enforce it!

  • Very nice video, but you should mentioned that Salamina is the known dumping ground for unwanted cats and dogs. There are now around 4,000 stray dogs wandering around the island ,starving and diseased. It is a tragic situation, a few people are trying to feed some of them but help is needed. It was reported in Athens News around mid August. Perhaps you could help the Welfare Animal Group of Volunteers of Salamis Z.O.E.S.(Nadia is the contact) or complain to the mayor Spiros Sofras.Thank you
