The provision in the bankruptcy to make null and void executory contracts was designed for copy machine maintenance agreements and those type of contractual agreements....not a privately owned franchise!!!!! Keep the faith, Mr. Blankenbeckler! Please be assured that God is watching over you and will not allow this travesty to continue...I have faith in our US Congressional leaders that they will do the right thing and make these wrongs...right!
The termination of privately owned small businesses, dealerships is unconstitutional, as the Fifth Amendment clearly states you cannot take another persons property without due process or compensation. Even in eminent domain, there is an appraised price on the property being taken by the state. The bankruptcy by-passed all state franchise laws which was the blanket of our protection prohibiting the manufacturers from taking away your franchise without due process.
I am watching this video through tear welled eyes and listening to your story with deepest compassion thinking "Who would have possibly thought (a year ago) this could be happening in America?" You hit the nail on the head by saying this is clearly against our Constitutional rights!
Oh, and one more thing: Welcome to America, 2009. I hear Wal-Mart is hiring.
