  • you know the gennsis was good in competition with nintendo's super nintendo untill in 1992, sega released the crappy sega cd and later the 32x. both did good when it was first released but later on the systems did poorly with consumers and in 1997, the sega gennsis was discontinued.

  • @MrPistol1911

The Sega CD was good, but its marketing focused on the crap games. The actual games (not the full motion video crap) were all better than their Genesis versions & benefited from the Sega CD's technology. But the cost was high, so I think that is what really hurt it. But by 1997 the Saturn had already replaced the Genesis, so the Genesis did have a good 8 year run by then & did remain competitive with the SNES until the end (by then even the SNES was being replaced).

  • How does the joystick has only three buttons on the right side? Where's the x y and z?

  • @Tomytoism

You're thinking of the 6 button controller. This was before that controller was made.

  • remember when Sega tried to convince us that Ecco was fun?

  • @BarbieBoy1997

I could never get into that game. That & those damn FMV games for the Sega CD that I avoided like a plague.

  • @SexedUpAtheist If you say so. I never could get into it. The controls were difficult, I remember. I was so young when I tried it.

  • SEGA!!

  • @BarbieBoy1997 Ecco WAS fun! The last level was pretty frustrating, though: quite difficult.

  • @BIGBOSS1983100 True, Nintendo is still 1st party whereas Sega is now a third party company now. Nintendo made games for everybody whereas Sega made only for the hardcore. If only Sega does what Nintendid then they'll both be fighting Sony and Microsoft today.

  • They shouldn't of shown mario kart. That game is way better than most of the games they showed.

  • Sega announced the return of Blast Processing when their Iron Man videogame is fully released for the PS3 in 2008. The Name: Blast Processing HD. Which means Bigger Graphics, Better Sound and Extreme Stunts for HDTVs while connected using a HDMI Cable with Blast Processing HD Technology.

  • I noticed there's two versions of this ad: One with the Model 1 Genesis and one with the Model 2 Genesis.

  • @wtcvidman It always perplexes me how so many people can detest Ecco. It had a unique gameplay style, sick synth music and gorgeous graphics - plus cover art by Boris Vallejo!

However, I'm behind you 100% about that FMV crap.
