How Chinese Counterfeit Coins are Traded

The Gold & Silver PAC held a reception on March 31st honoring Congressman Lamar Smith Republican of 21st Congressional District of Texas. Mr Lamar is Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. At the meeting, David Hall, CEO of Collectors Universe/PCGS, briefly outlined how Chinese Counterfeit coins in fake PCGS holders are traded. He used the example of a dealer who was sued by PCGS for selling counterfeit PCGS PCGS holders that were made to order from Chinese manufacturers.

@pdxeddie1111 The polices in China are only used to control the people. The gov acutually indirectly encourage such practice, especially if those fake are to be exported to other countries. Before, when China wasn't strong and have big enough balls to mess up with the U.S., those fakes are to send to third class countries or other developing countries in Asia. So, wake up Americans, if you want to fck China, do it asap, when you still can do sth!!!

The US Secret Service should be investigating and charging counterfeiters for counterfeiting currency if those coins are still legal tender, and they are.

Good video, & the thing I take away here is what you said about the money still being legal tender, this should involve the authority's and they should be doing more in my view.

@rshamouni PCGS did not actually grade the coins. Both coins and slabs were counterfeit.
