I love this movie. So much truth about life is portrayed in this movie. So many elderly people are forgotten by family members. In this case, her real grandson. But Ludo found a girl and once again she found herself alone. I think the ending was so sad.

Poignant, tender film. One of the best I've seen. We say they don't make them like this anymore, but yet, they did, here. A film I recommend for all raised by my spoiled "baby boom generation." Good for families to watch, and hopefully discuss the 'end of life' that will come to everybody. Word to any grandchildren, 'make time to VISIT WITH your grandparents.' Word to busy daughters and sons, HUG your parents when you do go see them. They won't be around forever.

Wonderful movie. Sweet, but powerful.

Loved this movie. Wish more like these were being made.

I loved this movie. Ending was beautiful

They don't make wonderful films like this anymore, which may explain why these "critics" were at a loss to say anything constructive. For comedy, drama, warmth, and message, Mrs. Palfrey is right there with Miss Daisy (as in Driving).

In the review they say it's a sweet film-- wait till it's on tv. Well, it's more than that-- it's touching, beautiful and very moving. You don't see films like this anymore.
This is a lovely movie.
