"Oh My Sweet Carolina" is probably my favourite Alt-Country song of all time. You're right to associate it with folk, it sounds slightly folky, this version even more so. The Essential Rock Discography claimed that this could possibly be "one of the greatest ballads ever written"

and a lovely female backing vocal, brilliant. Emmylou Harris sung on the album (Heartbreaker), and this vocal comes a close second to hers, i just personally think that it could've varied more to hers, rather than imitate her completely. well done on a spectacular performance.
