The new millennium began with questions about the dependability of technology. Well, the Y2K disaster never happened, and technology continued to be our best friend. With artificial hearts and entire face transplants being used with success, the human race was on its way to solving some of lifes huge problems and mysteries. One such unknown was the age of the Universe, a piece of information that was discovered in the 2000s. Space exploration began investigating our planetary neighbor Mars, and found proof that planet once housed water. In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com reviews these and more scientific milestones from the first decade of the new millennium.

  • ... and for all our science findings and space technology we still have not found the cure for the common cold.... we still war and hate with each other... we kill billions of animals every year... we still have millions of people starving... and we still pollute this planet beyond all comprehension.

  • simple? The United States recently experienced record low temperatures. As my High School Earth Science teacher says, it is not Global warming that is the problem; it is politics.

Your failure to question science that is so questionable is astounding.

  • @handheldgamer144 Right on, Global warming is the half man, half bear, half pig of our world(See southpark for details ;) )...It's just a cash cow for Gore and his cronies..

  • I got huge tits and I'm a guy.

  • @Purrfectstranger

And that is because of politics and a lack of funding.

Give the scientists a blank check to develop whatever they want and in ten years you will not recognize the world.

  • THIS WAS A VERY INTERESTING VIDEO AND ALL YALL NEGATIVE PPL DID WAS RUIN IT FOR PPL WHO REALLY CARE ESPECIALLY THE 1ST COMMENT CAN WE AT LEAST ENJOY THE EVOLVEMENT OF TECHNOLOGY????????? DANG!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH I CANT STAND PPL WHO SOB ABOUT STUFF BT NEVER EVER DO NOTHING ABOUT IT SHUT UP!!!!!!!!! DANG, I DIDNT CLICK THIS TO ATTEND YOUR PITY PARTY

  • You did not mention how NASA epically failed to use the (clearly superior) metric system with their Mars Climate Orbiter and wasted $400 million...

Also, the Mir space station, considerably more culturally significant (but worse) than the sexier, newer International Space Station was de-orbited and destroyed in 2001, but many people surprisingly still believe it's orbiting the Earth! It was certainly more popular than the ISS!

  • the last part i say don't use the atom smasher!

  • @henik9 indeed and it always has

  • and philosophy does not advance the human race

  • how can it not be.

we obviously had an impact on it, simply by existing, for better or worse

  • @grossnesstudeos by "global warming", do you mean "artificially-caused global heat-related catastrophe"? If the world (outside the US) is indeed warming, the part where it is caused by humans is, I agree, a mere theory and not a law. There could be a major discovery that scientifically disproves the principles of Einstein's Relativity or Global Warming. For all I know, they don't ignore water, though. Don't forget the maximum humidity of temperatures.
