he wasn't anti-american or anti-cuban.. he wasn't anti-"insert nationality" at all.. he's a socialist and he fought against injustice caused by capitalism and imperialism.. its just happens that the united states government and the previous cuban government were one of the many causes of injustice in latin america.. all the cuban exiles hated him because finally someone was brave enough to stand up to the bully (capitalists and imperialists)!
