What you see in this video is how I analysis the information presented in the eBay search results pages for the test product, a product I sell. The test is across a set of results that are at the top most visited section of all results for this product, same as any product, the Best Match results page. Notice that we are in the Best Match Results search category as I failed to mention this when making the video. At this point in the tests I have no real idea what eBay is doing. I look at the information with three years of training in SEO and web development. I am determining that there are aspects of the ranking system that eBay does not make clear similar to Google. What doesn't come right out in this video is stated specific; the same specifics, I can now state with clarity. What you should look for is the way I separate the data into type that have similarities between them and those that do not. This then leads to finding data that stands out from the obvious as unique to few of the eBay listings. I can then take that data and compare it to the position of the listing to verify unreported facts. I hope that you catch on how to break the data down and pull your on conclusions out. This ability to extract the meaning obtained from the data is what is most important; because, the algorithm eBay uses will change over time; and, unless you rely on me and follow closely you will fall behind. I will make videos specific to extracting their interpretation in the data; but, that is not in the near future. One request I have is that you post you results here on youTube and let me know when you do. Some of the secrets encountered while making this video I am going to reveal to you now in this description. In order shown in the video, Does it take a badge to get placed at the top? No, the badge will cause favor to be place with the seller when the listings are equivalent; but, it is in the listings that the determination is made first. Which is in order of importance the sell through rate and the length of time a listing has been running. To mention here, if you pull your listing down for any reason or go on vacation you will lose your spot when you get back to selling. Better to make alteration within your listing without pulling it down to do so. Any listing that has been up for some time will always appear in more favorable locations than those with lesser time; but, the listing with a higher sell through rate trump in long running listings but not in the beginning as the listing is being established. One more note, there are listing that have a keyword usage not found in other listings; but, the usage holds true to the product and therefore does not spam. Those listing appear to be place before all other listing more consistently. It works like this. The general search terms in this case "iPod armband" brings the visitor to the page; but, all the listing that have the exact same type and/or spelling have to compete for time/placement into the prime spot; and, eBay will divide the time/placement up among all these similar listings. Those that have a unique term placed in the title are considered a different type of product thou still an iPod armband; so, those listing place without much competition and tend to remain toward the prime spot consistently. The visitor will find the page as a matter of search for the product and then will encounter the listing toward the top of the group. The different presentation of the listing will intrigue the visitor to look just to compare against everything else they see. One slight problem with this is that you must get the sell through of else your listing will diminish in the rating of being successful and attractive. You can't read the eBay help pages to find this information; and, there seems to be a lot of details missing that could tell you exactly how the listings should be created and listed. The results of this video and many test I have performed over time and compared the data just for you. This is a three part video series of the facts stated. The videos are here to prove this for you. Also, much more information is inside the videos about how to sell on eBay and how to increase you sells by getting you listings placed high in the eBay search results. So, you will want to make sure to watch. I have made the videos into a series to reduce the time over all. This way you can view at your pleasure. I suggest that you subscribe; so that, you can return easily and finish the lessons. Also, when you subscribe I will be able to get to you more informative videos as I make them. Don't hesitate to ask a question. You can contact me through youTube any time. I will be glad to help you out. You can also post a comment below; and, I will be sure to reply. These are must see video for all seller of eBay and across the internet so enjoy.
