@raterito Java3D is no more maintained, it is a bad choice. The author could have used JOGL instead and then the performances would have been very close to any C/C++ equivalent. Java was noticeably slower than C++ 15 years ago but no more now. Java3D is not a very optimized scene graph; Irrlicht/JIRR, Ogre/Ogre4J, JMonkeyEngine and Ardor3D are faster.

no... yo simplemente lo ejecute desde la pagina web. Eso si necesitas tener la ultima version de Java 1.6.10 o posterior.... y seleccionar la version que incluye el Java3D, para que lo descargue e instale junto con la aplicacion (lo hace automaticamente). Tambien hay un demo Java con Swing.
