This is from their very first live DVD, shot at Reardon Auditorium (the same place they filmed their first Gaither DVD) a few months after the group formation.

The group at this time consisted of Ernie Haase, Shane Dunlap, Doug Anderson, Tim Duncan, and Garry Jones. This DVD is no longer made or sold and is VERY rare.

  • Oakswarrior, what is the name of the DVD so I can keep my eyes open for it?

  • It's called "Signature Sound: Live In Indiana." From what I recall, it was originally released on VHS in the summer of 2003, and by the time the Quartet convention rolled around, it was available on DVD. I don't think very many were made, since Shane and Garry left the group shortly after the DVD version was released, and I believe that the VHS was discontinued once the DVD's came in. If I had to guess, I would say less than 5000 copies exist, maybe even less than 1000...

  • To me, this is Tim's best performance on this song and i've heard him sing it countless times. He has incredible resonance and clarity hear. He always sounds awesome but he had that extra push this time. Great performance by all, tho

  • Yeah you are right. In this version, Ernie's solo is very inaccurate.

But not in a way that it's really annoying. What annoys me is how Tim is off too much.

  • yall havent had heard this song before have u?

  • Who is Gary Jones? The pianist or the leader?

    I'd thank you coul answer.

  • @rgouge1 please dont take this the wrong way but i think they wouldn't be singing if they didn't love the Lord. There is nothing wrong with the dancing they do. If u hear some of the recent stuff they have become better in singing. They all love the Lord no doubt cause that is why they're sing this gospel music.

  • If you are a record producer and cannot hear Ernie is flat at 2:46 and on, you need to stop producing!

  • Start listening at 2:46 til about 2:52. Ernie is flat this whole segment, and Tim is flat on the end note. BUT WE HAVE CHOREOGRAPHY! I have never heard Ernie sing that he was not flat somewhere. All EHSSQ is is a show. Southern Gospel is more than a show it is supposed to be a ministry!

  • Thats exactly right, there is lots of intonation issues at the very begining and ending, the encore being the worst.

  • Ernie's solo is all over the place pitch wise. If you can't hear that, I apologize. Also he is not on pitch on the ending. His stack is in tune, but he is not. So, young David, that would be the particular way he is off pitch.

  • in what particular way is it off-pitch?
