  • I was a part of the chorus as female 1st tenor with the Collegiate Chorale. The conducter is the late Maestro Robert Bass. Marge Raymond

  • Who's conducting?

  • QUE PERFECCION! ADORO A RENEE! ADEMAS ES TAN AGRADABLE Y SENCILLA!

  • Sung with such perfection!

  • Great performance AND this beautiful lyric voice pulls out the needed dramatic thrust at the end!

  • Gorgeous interpretation.

  • Like who?

  • Soprano Spinto IS a Soprano dramatico..so you know! At the time there was no such classification. Nedda has a high tessitura. It's perfect for voices like Scotto , Stratas and Cotrubas. Just imagine the disaster hearing Nedda by Dimitrova, Eva Marton or Guleghina!. Nedda is for a lyric, not like Te Kanawa or Netrbko of course!

  • Renee is a wonderful singer...but I don't believe that she has ever sung Nedda in a full production. Too heavily dramatic for her lovely, sweet and lyric voice.

  • You are right. This aria is not representative of Nedda's role...similar to Vissi d'arte not really showing what Tosca must have in her vocal arsenal to sing that role.
