Rough translation:
When asked about what the National League for Democracy is doing for the cause of democracy, I would like to ask those with this question, "What are you doing?" Because everyone can do at least something for the the cause of democracy, if your mind is truly set, it can happen.
Right now, not in this country [Burma], outside this country, there are a lot of people helping the cause of democracy. I would like to thank all of those people at this time. Democracy, in this way, is not a one-time deal. We must continue following the path of democracy.
Even in democracy-practicing nations which have done so for a long time, they must work to ensure no loss in accountability, maintaining foreign affairs, and must always nurture and tend to democracy.
For a country like Burma, we must start democracy up with even greater diligence and effort. To get democracy, every person in this nation must help work toward it. Every single person can help in one way or another.
Say, in the instance of seeing injustices with your own eyes, don't just stand there. Don't just think, "let these injustices happen." As much as you can, use the rule of law and stand up for that person. In one form or another, this will help the cause of democracy. Democracy will help this country be a better and more prosperous place. This is why because everyone is a part of this, little by little, please help advance the cause of democracy, with much love.
(Sorry, I don't know how to do subtitles.)
