It's like any other torque converter-based transmission, except CONSIDERABLY faster than any other that I've driven. It can be used in standard "Drive" mode, which starts in 2nd gear. "Sport," which shifts VERY aggressively and is said to have the fastest times down the 1/4 mile. And manual, which acts exactly like other DCTs, in that it'll rev-match and let you shift with the paddles. The only drawback to the trans is that it doesn't allow you to bounce off the rev-limiter...
