Fortunately most of the kids had already gotten off the schoolbus, Im sure that was not part of the Hamas calculation. I believe the more recent estimates are that 700 Hamas terrorists were killed and less than 300 civilians were killed, in the Gaza war which was started by Hamas rocketfire not Israelis, we dont like bloodshed. Much like the present Israeli actions in gaza. I also have trouble believing there is any credible source for children being crushed by tanks?

thats an extremly kind gesture of that father, much like the israli families that have donated organs to palestinians, and the israeli doctors who treat palestinians, even suicide bombers who have survived their attacks. Let us also not forget the story of Wafa Samir Ibrahim al-Biss, she was going to perpetrate a suicide bombing in the Israeli hospital that treats her.
