There were even African slaving personnel working in American ports from time to time facilitating the trans Atlantic trade. @MrGuugaalre Many Jews are nice people. Some Jews aren't. Many Muslims are nice people. Some Muslims aren't. Israel as a state does not represent all Jews althought it arbitrarily has claimed that right. Israels's behaviour frequently warrants criticism; to criticise Israel is not to be anti-Semitic. People dislike Israel for what it does not because it is "Jewish". Israel wants to blur that distinction because it is trying to excuse actions other countries would be punished for.
