I had recently adopted another female hamster and it turned out to be a male.
I caught them mating!
My beautiful dwarf hamster Bijou gave birth on Sunday Febuary 24 2008.
*Note*
Please do not handle babies directly or take photos of them this close unless your hamster is totally comfortable with you.
I am very lucky that Bijou loves me and doesn't find me threatful in anyway.
She doesn't even mind the cats staring at her!
She is a great mother and again I am grateful that she doesn't mind me near her pups.

My hamster got killed. I found out the pet shop lied they gave me boy and girl my baby girls cage got taken 2 the ground by my cat he was found dead Cuple of days l8r I now hav lok on door and new cage !!!

thats exactly what happened to me!!! i bought 2 females and then i week later i got another female but really, it was a male. I caught them mating too! But im glad cause now i have 7 perfectly healthy pups. Robos! =)

Daddy was a Russian Campbell and I think the mommy was mixed. She used to be dark then turned white and stayed white. All the babies turned out white from the first litter.

It depends really but try not to touch them for at least two weeks.
