@malbert34 I hope it works out as planned. I have just had my suspicions that the hydrogen economy is infused with government funded spin in order to control and divert the spending trends of the masses.
@mojokiss Has it never occurred to you in your ignorant little American brain that climate change is taking place? We have to do everything we can to reduce greenhouse gases and our dependence on oil. Hydrogen is one step forward.
I would concede that it is statistically safer to driver a big car than it is to ride a motorcycle. But then, it is safer to be the person pulling the trigger than the one being shot. Motorcycles are smaller, turn sharper, brake faster.. I would argue that the total safety of all drivers/pedestrians is diminished with every big "safe" car that enters the roads.Which vehicle would be easier to avoid hitting or being hit by in an accident? Car or bike? Which would you rather hit you?
Cars being "more safe" than motorcycles is based on the fallacy that only the safety of the driver and passengers of the vehicle in question determine its "safety". This is actually an incredibly selfish and short-sighted measure of safety. Many bulkier "safer" cars are only "safer" to the person INSIDE the car, but god help you if you're the pedestrian, motorcyclist or small car driver that gets hit by one. (to be continued)
Ok, well you still don't know anything about fuel cell technology, and motorcycles buy themselves are no more dangerous than cars, yes some of the people that get on them are asses, and the same with cars. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles don't have to haul around tanks of hydrogen (some due, and they ARE safe), but a vehicle can be fitted with a reformer and then any hydrogen rich fuel can be used,. If a hydrogen tank is ruptured the gas dissipates quickly and the chance for ignition is low.
I'll now assert each of your points in a very irritating and pedantic manner.
You're wrong. Motorcycles (the 'bikes' which both you and I were referring to) are most certainly more dangerous, when driven, than are their four-wheeled counterparts. Statistics says this, logic says this, I say this.
I know enough about hydrogen fuel cells to know that it's safer for them to be enclosed beneath the car's large frame, rather than the thin motorcycle's.
Bikes are not more prone to crashing than cars! and you don't know anything about hydrogen fuel cells. It's not going to blow up in a crash, gasoline is way more dangerous.
Anybody know what is happening with this product, or has the energy cartel cut the can? I know that one of the board members for Intelligent Energy is an (ex?) Shell employee, hummm.

Yes it will.
No it isn't.
