Through the eGhana project, the World Bank is supporting public-private partnerships to improve efficiency and transparency through selected e-Government applications.
The eGhana project builds on the Government's earlier experience with a customs modernization programme which drastically reduced customs processing time and increased government
revenue by close to 50 percent within the first 18 months of implementation.

You import some, you export some. They import Sugars, they export Pineapple. You do have a point, I'm just saying that we need to start from somewhere. Now that we can produce a lot of pineapples, perhaps we can develop a way to extract sugars from some of the pineapples, and is doing this less cost-effective than importing them in the short-term? Long-term? These are the questions we must ask.
