Through the eGhana project, the World Bank is supporting public-private partnerships to improve efficiency and transparency through selected e-Government applications.

The eGhana project builds on the Government's earlier experience with a customs modernization programme which drastically reduced customs processing time and increased government
revenue by close to 50 percent within the first 18 months of implementation.

  • Good, clear, informative video about using info technology and developing e-government in a developing country.

  • You import some, you export some. They import Sugars, they export Pineapple. You do have a point, I'm just saying that we need to start from somewhere. Now that we can produce a lot of pineapples, perhaps we can develop a way to extract sugars from some of the pineapples, and is doing this less cost-effective than importing them in the short-term? Long-term? These are the questions we must ask.

  • Why are they importing sugar? There needs to be more production and exporting...
