@ydentjes There'll never be another Elvis, either- (nothing even close!)

Saw him perform in Atlanta Ga in the early 70's. He was one of the BEST.

I've been an ELVIS fan since I was 9 yrs.old, I'm going on 49 this yr. I am very blessed that I got to see ELVIS live in 76 in Hampton, VA. I was at Graceland for the 25th anniversary and it was so depressing to me!! I will never go back there!! I do not believe ELVIS knew he was going to die or else he would of sang a gospel song on the morning of his death. I love ELVIS as much now as I did then and it still hurts as though it was yesterday. I love you ELVIS!!!

Yes, those are the last two songs he sang. I went to Graceland for Christmas 2006. It was a gift from my daughter. We loved our visit and can't wait to go back. Yes, it does leave you with the want to go back so I surely hope we get to go back. You feel him everywhere. Elvis will always be around.
Graceland is in Denmark, Randers, Europe.............

Sorry bu no it isn't, that will always be a subsitute, there will never be another Graceland then the one in Memphis Tennessee, no matter how hard they try. All the other "Gracelands"in the world don't have the spirit of Elvis in them.

Just got back home from Graceland...According to the tour guide which is recorded...There were two songs Elvis played on the piano in the Jungel room the night
he died. One was Blue Eyes and the other was Unchained Melody. Also saw the last car Elvis drove to Graceland that night. So they say....Have been a diehard fan since 1956....And....what can I say but Elvis was amazing.

I never saw him perform either. I'm living in Europe and when he died I was only 14, so I never had the change.
I visit Graceland almost every year and ofcourse it's sad to know that he will never be sitting in the livingroom again or will be having a relaxed time in the Jungleroom, but I always, somehow, feel his presence and that's an good feeling :-).

@ydentjes Hi...I am very curious about why and how you visit Graceland every year.That is a big trip.
I really would like to go back. You are a bit older that my oldest daughter. Both my girls like Elvis but...are not avid
fans. May I suggest the next best thing to not ever seeing Elvis? There is an amazing festival here in Canada.
The Collingwood Elvis Festival....do check it out. Would like to talk more....

@desttre
Well, the first time I visited Graceland was in 1987 and I just wanted to go back. That feeling stayed with me all those years. Every time I leave there I just want to come back and I still do. So, on August 7th I will be in Memphis again for the 16th time. It's an big trip but still...fortunally I'm able to afford that trip almost every year.
I will check that festival out. Thanks for the tip.
