This is from the 1951 film Hamati Qonbela Zarriya (My mother in Law is an Atomic Bomb) Taheya Carioca and Ismael Yassin play the role of husband and wife in this movie. They are both performers. She is a dancer and he is a singer/comedian. In this scene they are performing at the club where they work and at the beggining of the clip Ismael Yassin is singing about how he is in love with a genie, and he tells how he burns incense and spins the globe to make her appear before him again. Taheya Carioca appears as the genie at 1:45 dancing an Andalusian number. Ismael Yassin then spins the globe again and she appears doing a samba dance. Then he spins the globe a third time asking her to appear, and she appears before him in baladi style wearing a galabeya and skillfully dancing with an assaya.
This song's lyrics were written by Fat7e Oura and the music was composed by Mahmoud El Sherif. The dancers in this number were trained by choreographer Isaac Dickson.
Love all the background information. Greetings from Delaware
