Another local study shows that we waste millions of dollars each year on antibiotics. Antibiotics are useless against a virus. The only thing that kills a virus is a therapeutic fever, but most people see fever as the disease and not its cure, so they try to stop it. In India they take chilli to raise the temperature and then go to bed to sweat it out. Next day the virus is gone. The chinese use herbs to do the same thing and even mono can be killed off this way. Well, the dreaded pandemic has not been a biological holocaust. Seasonal flu kills far more people each year. Comparatively few people get really sick, those that do would most likely be killed by seasonal flu. Studies here in Australia show that Tamiflu is a huge waste of money. Our bodies are remarkable self-healing machines. If we are sensible, go to bed and rest, drink lots of fluids, it will be gone in 14 days. Take Tamiflu or antibiotics and you get well in 2 weeks.
