I am getting a female hedgehog in July that will probably be about 2 months old. Do you think it is possible that the hedgehog could be pregnant? I mean, I'm not getting a male or anything, just the female.

@squeakycleanlulu If the female has been kept in a proper manner, than she should not be with any other male hedgehogs, so she shouldn't be pregnant. It depends where you get your hedgehog from really. My baby boys and girls are separated from each other (once they are taken away from their mother) to make sure that doesn't happen.

I just got a 6 month old hedgie today and he seems to be a little chunky. how is the best way to monitor his food intake?

@MissOakley100 Start out by giving him about 2 tablespoons of food and see how much of it he eats. Then if he doesn't eat all of that in one day, lower it to about 1.5, and so on.

@QualityQuills me again! i've been wanting to ask you,is Annie a African Pygmy hedgehog;or are all of your hedgehogs just regular hedgehogs? because i want to know how big my African Pygmy Hedgehog is going to get,he's around 14weeks old and another question for you is if you think that he's almost done growing at that age?
