The dog barking created a reaction strike, lol nah j/k. nice follow up bait, I do this with a spinner bait alot, fishing around the outer edges of the weeds during the mid day, they sometimes miss the spinner bait, or chime the blades, even with a Stinger hook, so ill follow up with a R.C. 2.5 wake bait, and burn that past and they usually come back and smack that, if not the wake bait im going to flip a sweet beaver in bluegill, (backwards) dipped tip in spike-it chartreuse, nail weighted.

great technique. I was fishing the mats the other day and had a fish hit a rojas within a matter of seconds. I flippd right back in there with a baby paca craw and pulled up a 4lb fish. Cant go wrong with the sweet beavers though, there in my all time bass arsenal

@flurbsmcgurgs Texas Rigged with a 3/16 Bullet weight pegged is what I used in the video. Also try the belly weighted hooks, they work great when you're fishing more open water situations.

Yeah, I'm in the back of Catfish Slough at Clear Lake. There are quite a few back water sloughs at Clear Lake between Lakeport and the State Park.
