@temetito922 i do agree that the melody can help people recognize what is being sung so if it is used in the intro of the song, it would be quite apt. But have you ever noticed that in any song (Christian or non) the melody is almost always done by the singing and hardly be any instrument (unless the whole song is an instrumental song). For some reason, when the melody is played together with the singing, it just doesn't feel right and I suppose the result is that people will tend not to sing.

@temetito922 hi. i suppose the word 'exaggerated' would be appropriate if the situation has not happened before. But you'll be surprised how in the church world pianist can hold the pedal throughout the faster songs and still feel it sounds okay.

What you are generally suggesting will put your congregation to sleep, secondly your suggestions will not work in every situation, not even for those praise and worship examples you provided, any skillful musician can make general embellishments without "distracting the audience"........basically the word that sticks out for me with regards to your videos is BORING!!!!!!!!!!.........just want to sleep!!!!!
