Who cares why. If we put as much effort into trying to fix it as we do fighting over what causes it, imagine the progress? But no.... people need to experience crisis before they resond...sad. President Clinton and others cite a letter signed by 2600 scientists that global warming will have catastrophic effects on humanity. Thanks to Citizens for a Sound Economy, we know now that fewer than 10% of these "scientists" know anything about climate. Among the signers: a plastic surgeon, two landscape architects, a hotel administrator, a gynecologist, seven sociologists, a linguist, and a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine. Almost laughable

In 1989 as the Cold War and the threat of nuclear war were winding down, the Union of Concerned Scientists began to circulate a petition urging recognition of global warming as potentially the great danger to mankind. The petition was eventually signed by 700 scientists. Only three or four of the signers, however, had any involvement in climatology.

All polls taken show that there is no agreement, or consensus that CO2 will cause dangerous climete change; there is NO EVIDENCE for this, either.

I said that the global temperature is falling because it is, and has been since 1998 on all records (except the on Hanson is doctoring, GISS)

@1000frolly Mmkay, well you can go talk to the scientists at NOAA or NSIDC and tell them that the satellite imaging, long term ice studies and basically all of their arctic research is a lie.

I wonder, are you stupid enough to take the current freezing temperatures in Europe to mean that temperatures are "falling"?

You really need to stop sucking Lord Monckton's dick and realize that we don't live in a consequence free wonderland where humans have no impact on the environment.
