You access the same desktop from anywhere in the world, everything is tied to your servers or ours, no more losing data due to computer crashes or having copies of files on different computers. Instead of paying for equipment you can opt to lease a desktop, so your costs go up and down with more and less employees. Pay as you go. You can also host your own cloud on your own hardware. The upfront cost for equipment is higher but you own the equipment and software.
