Activeworlds is an online community. There's a subscription fee of $6.95/month or $69.95/year.
Using it is as simple as duplicating objects. Basically, if you wanted to color something, you use "create color blue" or "create color 0000FF". If you wanted something to move, use "create move 4 0 0 time=2 wait=5" - this command would move an object four meters on the X axis over two seconds and will wait five seconds before resetting to its original position.
There are several tutorial areas that will help you to learn how to build. The studio was created with what Activeworlds citizens call a "bot," a program designed to automate several functions.
Is it hard to use Activeworlds i.e. do you need to know how to code/program, or is it a simpler interface?
Also with the version you are using, does it cost money and if so, how much.
Thanks
