  • Clean coal is a myth. Its a marketing gimmick to sell a lower sulfur coal, or refers to scrubbers at coal plants. Either way, burning clean coal emits CO2 big time contributing to global warming.

Nuclear energy is emission free? Nope! Uranium processing for nuke plants, plus the standby power nuke plants needs = an additional coal plant, which is where this energy comes from not to mention nuclear energy is terribly expensive & dangerous.

  • As you know, coal is a reliable and affordable source of energy. People are using it now for electricity and will continue to do so for decades to come. Developing nations like China and India have huge reserves of coal that they are using for energy, and it's up to us to develop the technology here to export it abroad. There are clean coal technology projects that reduce carbon dioxide by up to 95 percent. We just need the funding to develop it on a commercial scale.

  • Wertsch's Vygotsky is extremely good, so why is he talking about clean coal??

  • I prefer to get my information from science, not from a corporate shill, thank you.
