  • wow she is a beauty, my dad had a 79 scottsdale crew cab with a long bed, i loved it so much, he had a 454 in it tho and man was it fun to ride in, after he passed someone stoled it and i never seen it again, you got a real nice truck man,

  • thanks bud. sorry to hear about that, you should really think about getting another 73-87. really fun project trucks and just beasts all around. :)

  • Sounds awesome, i have a 1980 K10 with glasspacks but i wanted to put Thrush welded mufflers on and i think this video just made it official lol thank you! Truck looks real nice! you dont have a body lift on there do you?

  • Thanks bud, nope no body lift just a 6 in suspension lift. Clears 35's like a breeze!

  • Love the sound and the color! What color is that? I'd love to have my 86 K20 painted like it.

  • Thanks!

The color is from PPG paints. Shop-Line mixing scheme.

    It is Sunbird Orange Met.

    Brand Code: 61536

    Main Layer: 61536

We painted the beast ourselves. It's a pretty cool color. In the sun the flakes really come out and it pops. On cloudier days its more of a dark orange.

  • @badazz876 it's the name of the muffler.

  • @badazz876 thats what the muffler is called

  • what do you mean in the title that the thrush is welded ?

  • Beautiful.

  • @1979chevyk10 Alright, yeah it took so long to get the steering arm off now the nut and cones are done and I cant find somewhere that can get new ones lol and Yeah I have the longer brake lines and im replacing ball joins, u joints, park brake cable etc while im at it and have it apart.

  • @discot315 the hardest part of the whole lift was getting the steering arm to come off. it was practically welded to the cones. besides that it's pretty straight forward. Don't cut corners get your driveshafts lengthened and brake lines lengthened to.

  • @evanizakoolkat sweet, im actually just going to put the same lift in my truck, rough country 6inch. Was it hard to do? what was the hardest and most time consuming part? thanks man

  • I like all chevy trucks, but to me the 73-79 chevy's are my FAVORITE, Although that body style is from 73-87, the front end kind of got ruined in 81 when they switched to the vertical mounted rectangle headlights, 80 is very similar to 73-79 but with more rectangular headlights, same grille basically. Also the front fenders are better from 73-80 because of the rounded curve that seperates the 2-tone. Ahh chevy's they are the best.

  • To make that truck more beast idk what kind of motor you got in it but a 383 stroker has balls and id get bigger tires other then that shes a beauty
