Years ago I went to a music store looking for a pair of headphones for my stereo(yeah, that long ago)the salesperson there wanted for me to hear what the headphones sounded like so I put them on and he put on a record for me to listen too. When I was through he ask me what I thought of the headphones and I said "well I don't know about the headphones but ya sold me a record! The record? Romantic warrior by Return to foever! and now you know the rest of the story ;)

First time I heard this in the early eighties,I thought it was different from the where have i known you before album, and so with the light as a feather. After more than twenty years all i can say is it still sounds fresh to me,I'm trying to convince my son and daughter to listen to RTF,Mahavishnu,Metheny,Miles,Hendrix,Soft Machine, early Genesis,Yes and King Crimson and seventies rock.I would play Zappa's Joe's Garage in the car when they were kids.Music then brings lots of memories.

You may have better luck with the classic rock. A lot of the jazz/fusion and heavy prog stuff is to intricate for untrained ears. Not trying to discourage you from what you are doing just making an observation!

You my friend have been bitten by the Jazz/Fusion bug! Check out "Medieval Overture" by the same group! There are many jazz/fusion groups that you will discover and some you will love, some is an acquired taste and some you'll hate. This one is one of the best all time! Almost all jazz/fusion is instrumental. It's considered music that musicians listen to and most aspire to play!
