Hey hey! Thanks for checking in with ClevverTV. I'm Dana Ward with some behind-the-scenes info from the set of The Hunger Games. Of course, we all know that this production was totally kept secret from day one and just about all of the details we've received have been given to us from Lionsgate directly -- like clips, photos and casting choices early on. But now thanks to E! Online, we've got some scoop about what went down during the time off from the Asheville, North Carolina shoot. Well we heard that The Hunger Games helped bring 62-million dollars back into the state's economy, mostly because of the production but also because the cast and crew was busy living life there. For example, the report tells how Josh Hutcherson and his Journey 2 co-star, Vanessa Hudgens hit up local hotspots with a source saying that they probably appreciated the chance to hang out and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Plus, we hear the Josh went zip-lining multiple times -- and yes, he brought Vanessa one of the times too. Reading about District 12 in the book made me feel like I was at home, and brought back so many memories of driving through the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I've lived in this small town my whole life, and it gave me a special connection with the characters. It was like they were reading my mind when they decided to shoot the movie in NC, it's absolutely the most perfect book/movie I've ever experienced :)
