Boney can flat out groove ......!
It takes years and 1000's of hours to find that right mouthpiece, Guardala King R&B is what I play but there some other fine mouthpieces it just depends on what sound you're looking for, but practice is most important ...!

@gdude5694 boney plays a selmer Mark 6 tenor that's been gold plated with a gold plated handmade guardala king R&B mouthpiece, vandoreen reeds, windslow ligature. It's a lot of expensive stuff. That's the price you pay to sound good though!

@dougsmo Oops! Don't know what I was thinking:) Did you go to any Chene Park concerts this summer? Or any of the other Detroit area shows? I always tell people that D-town is the summer spot for music!!!

@isleofcapri2 Sadly not this summer yet :o( I wanted to go down to see Walter Beasley a couple weeks ago. He has invited me back stage in the past. Very cool and genuine guy. But I'm saving my $ for a wedding and week in New Orleans for the honeymoon next May :o)
