Here is a quick demo of the VHT Special 6 without any effects. Dry single only, using a Fender Tele, Ernie Ball Music Axis super sport, JJ 12AT7, and a SED EL34. Enjoy.

  • I'm considering buying this amp, can you get loud without while having a clean/crunch tone, or does it distort fast when you turn the volume up?

  • @Theonlyway2loose Yes you can get this amp loud and still keep it clean. My amp is for sale right now. Hit me up if you are interested.

  • will it accept EL34's, 6L6's and EL84's without any mods? I know it's selfbiasing or something, but I thought pins needed matching or something, so did the EL34 fit right in without a mod or convertor or anything?

  • @MrSkAtEfReAk12 It will take 6V6, 6L6, EL34 without any problems, its will not take a EL84 without a adapter which VHT sells for $20 bucks or so.

  • What kind of blues tone can you get with this amp? Can you get that Fender, SRV, Hendrix, Mayer sound with this amp paired with a Strat?

  • @clintmiller23 Yo yes, put a Strat and TB in front of it and you will find what your looking for.

  • I love greenbacks :-)

  • hey man. how good is that cabinet? I'm thinking about getting one so I won't have to haul my 4x12 around.
