RMNACSTC 2009 Leadership & Challenge - (Part 1a ) A Conversation the Commanding Officer

The multi-part documentary series on training at Rocky Mountain National Army Cadet Summer Training Centre shot in July and Aug 2009. This training facility is home to 200+ Army Cadets from across Canada as well as a select group of exchange British Army Cadets each summer.

Rocky Mountain NACSTC, located on the edge of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta is home to the Leadership & Challenge course, perhaps one of the most demanding courses an army cadet can attend. The course began in 1948 in Banff as a reward camp for master cadets, over the years it evolved into the course it is today, featuring glacier, rock climbing, white water Kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, search and rescue and of course leadership. It is also home to the National Pipes and Drums, advancing the skills of the best cadet pipers and drummers in Canada. Covering six weeks the training is intense and rewarding.
