  • Also, I'm glad to find someone else that terms the top element as the head. I absolutely loathe when I see stack/queue/DLL implementations that label the top element as tail.. It just sounds so anti-logical :<<<

  • It's a nice animation, though I'm still quite confused on the different between a process being blocked or suspended >.<. I suppose blocked is when it gets locked out of a mutual exclusion area (mutex, semaphore, monitor) but what about suspended? I have an idea for it but it only makes sense in a system using preemption, which isn't always the case in educational stuff.

  • @sspoke depends on the OS and the scheduling algorithm used. Unix systems have a ready queue.
