@thuzan117 which is how they got a pass for hp gary federal and stole all their docs. one of the guys at hp gary also worked for hpg federal and used the same password. the guy sent an email from that guys account asking the admin to open a port so he could get ssh access through the firewall,he had the pass and it came from that guy's email so the admin did so. also they used an older linux kernel which had an exploit allowing privilege elevation so they got root permission and stole everything

@thuzan117 hp gary is such a joke *I* could have hacked them, and im a terrible hacker. they are a fucking security firm, hacking is their job and they cant properly secure their own servers. they used weak passwords, reused those password (they being a few key members including the main guy i forget his name and another guy who worked also at hp gary federal) for their twitter, email, and other accounts,

i love that story, i recently read an article that detailed the hack in a more technical manner and it does show that some people in anonymous have some skill but thats not really the message, its that the people at hp gary are fucking retarded. they are a security firm and:

1.didnt properly sanitize their database inputs

2. didnt salt their password hashes

3. reused their passwords.
