Ouch!
I'm myself just 3 weeks after surgery from a kitesurf accident. I got lots of fractures at the top of my tibia and also a big part of it that was torn off that's now fixed back with screws and plates. I'm not allowed to put any weight on my leg for another 4-6 weeks and after that follows at least 6 months of rehab.
Hope your recovery went well!
Peace

Hi Echostrom, good to hear of your recovery. Broke my leg as well (two bones and ligaments), foot got stuck for a split second in my strap during a fast, overpowerred landing , snap .. crack, before I could even think of quick release ....98% recovery, snowboarding and windsurfing is ok, no more kitesurfing for me ... so far :( .

3 years ago ,I also broke my leg with a kiteloop-backloop. It took almost 1 year to go on the water again. Now 3 years later ,I can do anything again but when I try something new on the water,I think twice before I pull my bar :-). Hope you recoverd 100%

no lol you hit high speeds and if your going fast enough and you fall in the water its like hitting a wall, and if you fall a certain way you can break bones

Hows it going? My leg is 100% better now. Just finished climbing the biggest mountain in Slovenia. Good luck!

All better now. They took the calf muscle out to stop the internal bleeding. They actually thought that it needed it be amputated however, put the muscle back in to see what would happen. The next day I was able to move my toes, which made my surgeon estatic. Three months later I got on the board again and after a year now I am doing medium sized boosts with my kite. Get the pin out in March YAY!!!!
