Unverzüglich grub der Knab, seiner Nachtigall ein Grab.

Und seit jeher brachte ers singen(d), vielen Menschen Freude bringen.

Nachtigall ließ durch ihn ihr Lied erklingen.

God I never realized how very sad that song was.. Never paid too much attention to it. Anyway the beginning and end (..Freude bringen) were really really hard to understand with all the slurring but I think I got it for you.Cheers.

Although you probably already found the lyrics, I tried to type it down for you:

"Auf nem Baum da liegt im Tal, eine stumme Nachtigall.

Alle Vögel sangen fröhlich, Nachtigall weint(e) nur und krächzte vergeblich.

Eines Tages flog sie weg, hielt im Walde sich versteckt.

@Sidewinder5O4 Somewhere along the line, Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and Battlefield crawled up their own asses. Not to say they're bad games. In fact they SHOULD take themselves seriously. But there needs to be some downtime with more levels like this.

But look on the bright side: the next Brothers in Arms game? Furious 4.
