As new and powerful virtual musical instrument apps evolve for the iPhone, iTouch, and iPad, these devices are with Jordan Rudess at all times, as they allow him to continually practice, create and record, capturing inspiration whenever, and wherever, it strikes.
Jordan recently traveled to Northern California to perform as a special guest soloist at Stanford University with the Stanford Laptop Orchestra (SLOrk) and Mobile Phone Orchestra (MoPho).
Here Jordan, with Uri Neito (http://www.urinieto.com), a Center for Computer Music Research and Acoustics Department (CCRMA), Stanford graduate student, and a gifted multi-instrumentalist and technologist, demonstrate several revolutionary music apps for Apple devices.

according to the fact that the ipad and the itouch are only immitating real instruments such as guitars or key instruments, it represents nothing but an experimental usage of electric divices on stage, while travelling or just4fun. of course you could also use them as a drumpad or a pad for soundfiles or whatever you want, beside the fact that there's a short touch-delay (which sucks balls).
but seriously, - i'd HATE to see bands playing with ipads or itouches or whatever. It's fakey
