@A4ANT it is not tedious.  The ppl who say that, have never used a DAW before. They would find FL Studio to be too much for them. If you have used FL Studio, you will find that in song crafter mode, that beaterator is an EXACT copy of fl studio. U have piano roll also, so u can make your own loops. U have 8 tracks, but you can have change ups on the same track, so U have the possibility of having 32 virtual tracks. Plus u can record vocals in to the app, and the mic is really DAMNED GOOD!

@A4ANT i have used fl studio, ableton, cakewalk, and garageband. YES this is worth getting, and YES u can port ALL of your sounds from your DAWs, into this. I have my own drumkits in mine, and when I'm done with a beat, I put ozone 4 to master it, and IT SOUNDS BETTER THAN ANYTHING I HAVE EVER DONE ON A PC OR HARDWARE. I have used ASR10, KORG Triton, and trinity, Yamaha, and Roland keyboards. I have also used the MPC 2000XL. Get beaterator!
