It could also be that Graham played all of the instruments on the record, and these guys were his mates that he threw together to tour...it's not like they are a group that have been together for a long time, who can get that band "telepathy" and play it as tight as a bonafide band. Graham as usual, is perfection...he's prob. annoyed about the cut set and it translates into a faster, harder guitar sound.
