@FateMaster2 In the woods where me and a danish Larp guild play live-roleplay, there was a murder, and one day the police were out there, they found some skulls and gravestones lying on the ground, and suddenly they saw a hooded figure who wore a horror mask. at first the police pulled their guns at the man because they thought it was the criminal but the soon realized that he was one of the Game masters who made a special graveyard for the roleplay story.

@tcraig16 It is a real sport. It requires a hell of a lot more ability and courage, strength of will etc. than any mundane sport for the unintelligent masses. If you do not like the role playing aspect there are things like Belegarth or Amtgard that are pretty much only combat.

God...so...awesome! The only thing we have anywhere close to this that I know of here in north america is Le Douche de Bicolline in Quebec. Something like 2000 people show up to their week long final battle event in august, and they have a whole village built... :x we need moar epicness!

LARP is a fascinating prospect, its a shame that there is so much prejudice involved.

I guessed that much. Thougth the irony to be visible.. I do not know any LARP-player who gets reality and fiction mixed. A lot roleplayers talk about it in public places .. its fun to watch the faces of the pasing people geting woried if you talk about conquering an fort and massacre all inhabitans..
I got surounded by the police afer talking about the last bank-job my Shadowrun-P&P-group did while waiting for the bus.. That did take some talking to dissolve the misunderstanding.
