Sky Velvet Vassar, beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, lover of music, dance and life, born August 1, 1996 in Berlin, Germany. Sky was an 8th grader at Desert Ridge Middle School and 13 years old. Sky wanted to be a fashion designer and move back to Berlin. Sky played the Cello, Flute, and Piano. She loved horse back riding and ballet. She passed away Thursday, January 14th 2010 in the morning during a surgical procedure. *she had appendicitis* Her love, dance, music and thoughtful kindness remain with us always. Please pray for her mother Vanessa Vassar and her family in Berlin. Thank you to the people who wore blue on January 20th.

I have the pleasure of knowing Sky's grandmother, Pat Vassar. Pat just shared the most beautiful photos of Sky with me as well as leaving me a card with some of Sky's poetry.
