I finally figured out how to rip this clip. Hope you all enjoy, I think it's worth the wait. You'll see the differences in their version and ours.

  • does hua quan form has anything to do with "hua yuanjia"?

  • @nameless527 no his main style is called mizong quan, even though he had a lot of experience with other styles very similar to this one. his name is actually "huo" and not "hua". thanks for watching!

  • As a karate stylist I must admit I don't have much understanding of the Chinese arts. But I respect the effort it takes to develop skill in any martial style. I'm curious how the moves apply in a self-defense situations, I see a lot of open-handed techniques. Definitely not trying to get kicked by this practitioner, takes a lot of leg endurance to perform this taolu. Respect.

  • @deek77 the same techniques that show up in karate show up in kung fu. a punch is a punch and a kick is a kick! usually in kung fu when the hands slap or wrap around each other it's a throw or some sort of lock. thanks for visiting my site and keep up with the practice!

  • pure wu shu.. beautyfull!!

  • @fatmelonn thanks; hua quan was one of the four main styles used to make the modern competition wushu... this guy performs it in the modern wushu way but still all the original techniques are there!

  • i like the cute purple silk duangua and sash ^_^

  • great work. our forms are very similar

  • thank you for sharing.

  • This guy is so good and his doing very well in this show and i think he spend many years to learn this form

    Very good

  • @airforceallie oh ok, thanks man :D

  • @deek77

    I would add.

Alot of open handed 7 wide arm techniques can also be transfer to sword techniques (dual use systems). Most dont tell you that.

  • @airforceallie Agreed. Karate does have its roots in kung fu, and you are right about punch being a punch and so forth. In my style, Japanese Kenpo, we apply some Chinese fighting principles, so I know a little. Admittedly, I'm just intermediate-level(orange belt, two grades above white), so there's much more for me to learn. But I'm a martial arts geek, so I love seeing stuff like this. Anyways, thanks for the response.
