Funky and groovy man! However... make sure that your tone quality does not get raunchy or pinched in sound. Occasionally, it can be used for effect but avoid going too much in that direction. For example, Coltrane had a rough timbre but he was able to smooth things out for more polished sound when needed. Don't bite your lip off trying to get an edgy tone. I think that's where the term "bleeding gums" could be applied. LOL! Gook luck with your musical endeavors.
