People are NOT underestimating African American women, they just don't like Condoleezza Rice (myself included) because she is just as bad as George Bush. I'm sure that the same people making negative remarks about Rice would have PRAISE for Mrs. Obama. So no, I do not believe this has anything to do with the fact that Rice is a black woman.
