Very nice I don't normally like box tanks but I do like this one

where did you get the wood in your tank?

I am working of a 150 gallon long(6feet X 18inchs X 2feet) for my 2 Oscars, Jack Dempsey, 2 Fire Mouths, Earth Eater, Midas, and a Texas Cichlid.
I have everything but the stand(I am picking it up a week after Halloween).
I bought a Fluval Fx5(400 gallon filter), 2 Fluval M200 heaters, 100LBS of gravel, and two 36" T-5 Coralife fixtures with T-5 10,000K bulbs.
I can wait for the stand so I can set it up!

that does not look big enough to be a 150 gallon tank, but maybe its because its a vid.

thanx alot man. always good to hear from a fellow oscar lover. I think the best part of owning oscars is raising them. its the best way to curb their aggressive behavior and desire to rearange the tank. lol thanx again for the comment

@ThatsMyCichlid thanx for the comment. the jack dempsey was about 7 inches when i gave it away.
i like your tank... im thinking of buying a larger fish tank for 3 jack Dempesys 2 Oscars and a green terror and maybe a flower horn what size do you think i should get and what kind of system as far as filter thank you

@chichild1995 with the combination of fish that you have I would reccamend at least a 120gallon long tank or larger. as a general rule oscars need 50gallons per fish and jack dempseys can be very agressive so I would say the biggest tank that you can afford. :) As far as filtration always have a little bit of overkill with oscars and other large cichlids, I would think a fluval x5 canister filter and maybe a good sidemounted filter would work like a emporer 400. Good luck man

Yes, one baby oscar in a 35 gallon tank is just fine. just keep in mind that they do grow fast and will eat just about anything that they can fit in their mouth. also they can be territorial towards other cichlids, such as africans, firemouths, green terrors, and even fish as non-agressive as a bala shark. oscars are a fish alot like gold fish that produce alot of waste so a good filtration system is needed. tetrafin cichlid sticks will work, like i said oscars will eat anything.
